Give internal feedback and approve for client review

Keep unfinished work private until an authorized reviewer clears it.

Before you begin

Internal review permission. Owners always have it; managers have it by default unless changed.

Here’s how to do it

  1. Open the post from Content and select Internal review.

  2. Review the brief, caption and attached media.

  3. Enter Private team feedback and choose Share internal feedback if changes are needed.

  4. When the content is ready, select Approve for client review.

  5. Check that the stage now shows internal approval before asking the client to review.

What happens next

Internally approved posts can appear in the unlocked client portal. Internal feedback stays private to the team.

Good to know

Internal feedback and approval notify the relevant workspace content team by email. Delivery depends on the email service; these messages are not sent to clients as internal feedback.

If something isn’t working

  • If feedback and approval controls are unavailable, ask the owner to check your Internal review permission in People.
Based on the Marketing Workspace interface reviewed 27 October 2026. Options can vary by role, plan and channel access.
