Unlock encrypted X messages
Keep X Chat access separate from your normal conversation list.
Workspace owner with a supported connected X account and the existing X Chat PIN.
Here’s how to do it
Open Inbox. On desktop, find Encrypted X messages beside the channel filters. On mobile, open Inbox tools first.
Expand the Encrypted X messages dropdown and choose Unlock X messages.
Follow the access check, then enter your existing X Chat PIN where requested.
Open the unlocked X conversation from the inbox. Use the X refresh or older-message controls when needed.
Use Lock when you want to clear the unlocked session.
What happens next
Supported encrypted conversations can be read and replied to on this device.
Good to know
The PIN stays on the device. Encrypted conversations are excluded from shared history and AI. Closing the dropdown alone does not lock the session.
