Use the canonical link and understand older subdomains

Share the address the current portfolio studio provides.

Before you begin

The portfolio owner or someone given its public link.

Here’s how to do it

  1. Open the intended portfolio in the studio and use its current public-preview link.

  2. Copy the canonical /portfolio/slug address rather than constructing an address from the display name.

  3. If you have an older useshowwork.com portfolio subdomain, test it separately; the application includes legacy-host routing support.

  4. Use the canonical link when an older address depends on unresolved DNS or hosting configuration.

  5. Report a broken older host to the site administrator with the hostname and visible error, not account credentials.

What happens next

You share a current working route and distinguish application routing from domain setup.

Good to know

Editing the displayed company name does not automatically change its saved slug. The current editor does not provide a general self-service custom-domain or slug-renaming guide.
