Troubleshoot a portfolio link or unavailable studio

Check the canonical address, owner account and relevant access state.

Before you begin

The public link for visitors; owner login for studio access.

Here’s how to do it

  1. For public viewing, use the /portfolio/slug link copied from the studio.

  2. If an older subdomain fails, test the canonical link and ask the administrator to inspect the old host’s DNS/routing.

  3. For editing, sign in to the account that owns the portfolio and open it from the dashboard.

  4. For an agency portfolio, inspect any billing/payment-required notice and follow the relevant account flow.

  5. If the route still fails, record the exact address and visible error for support without sharing passwords or private tokens.

What happens next

You distinguish a broken legacy host from an incorrect account, missing record or access requirement.

Good to know

The public portfolio does not have a delivery-style client access code. Do not ask visitors for your Showwork login to view it.

Based on the Portfolio interface reviewed 27 October 2026. Options can vary by role, plan and channel access.
